Electrical Safety Reports (EICR)
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a full health check of everything electrical in a property: from the consumer unit through every circuit to the furthest socket and light fitting. It tells you what is safe, what needs attention now and what can wait, with every observation coded and clearly explained.
Landlords in England are required to have a satisfactory EICR every five years. Homebuyers use them to avoid expensive surprises after moving in. Whatever the reason, you get the formal report and a plain-English summary. If anything needs putting right we quote it as a clear fixed price — never invented work, never pressure.

EICRs questions, answered
How much does an EICR cost?
It depends on the size of the property and the number of circuits. Landlord rates and multi-property packages are available. We give you a clear price before booking.
How often should I have an EICR done?
Rented properties need one at least every five years or at a change of tenancy. For owner-occupied homes, every ten years is the usual guide — sooner for older wiring or when buying.
What does an unsatisfactory EICR mean?
It means one or more items need attention before the installation can be considered satisfactory. We explain exactly what they are in plain English and provide a fixed price to put them right.
How long does it take?
Two to four hours for most homes, depending on size and circuit count. We work methodically and leave everything exactly as we found it.
