Electrical Fault Finding & Repairs
A tripping breaker or a dead socket is your installation telling you something is wrong. Resetting and hoping is understandable, but the fault that caused it is still there. We use proper test equipment and a circuit-by-circuit approach to track the problem to its exact source, rather than swapping parts and hoping for the best at your expense.
Anything dangerous is made safe immediately. We explain what we found in plain English with a fixed price for the repair before any work starts, and we retest under load before we leave so you know the problem is genuinely resolved.

Fault finding questions, answered
How much does fault finding cost?
Describe the symptoms over the phone and we'll give you an honest estimate, then confirm the price on site before any work starts. No diagnosis charges added to a surprise invoice.
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
Usually a faulty appliance, moisture in an outside fitting or a damaged cable. We test circuit by circuit to find exactly which, rather than guessing. The tripping RCD is doing its job.
Half my sockets have stopped working — is that serious?
It's usually a broken connection on a single circuit and is very fixable. Loose connections generate heat though, so it's worth sorting promptly. We can normally trace and repair it in one visit.
How quickly can you come out?
We're available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Anything that sounds dangerous goes first. Call and we'll give you an honest arrival time.
